We support the treatment of conditions that do not require a physical examination. Recent studies have shown that nearly 75% of all doctor visits could be handled effectively via video consultation. Doctors on our platform will inform you if your condition requires a physical examination for diagnosis and/or treatment.

If the doctor determines that your condition requires a physical examination to be treated a full refund will be provided. Please email us at refunds@oDoc.life within 24 hours of the incomplete consultation quoting your reference number and reason for the refund request.

This is at the sole discretion of the doctor and based on your condition. Prescriptions are not guaranteed.

oDoc provides you with an e-prescription that is digitally signed and stamped by the doctor. This document constitutes an Electronic Record within the meaning of the Electronic Transactions Act No. 19 of 2006 and issued by the doctor and shall constitute an Original as prescribed in Section 5 of the Act. This can be presented to the pharmacy. The prescription will be valid for 7 days. The e-prescription (if provided) will be sent to the app and located under the “Visits” tab. You can present this to any pharmacy and collect your medication.

Yes. You will be shown all doctors online. You can view the doctors profile and keep swiping left until you find your preferred doctor.

The most common conditions include cold, fever, flu, sinus, digestion, paediatrics, skin, diet & nutrition, pain management, women’s health, sexual health and mental health. A video consultation is also a good platform to obtain second opinions, evaluate lab results and get advice on vaccinations.

A video consultation with a GP costs Rs. 1,599. Your first consultation is free.

Payment can be made through credit or debit card.

oDoc is not intended to replace physical consultations. Video Consultations are a good platform to obtain easy and convenient medical advice for select medical ailments and can also be considered a first step to obtain initial medical advice. oDoc can also be a great resource between doctor visits, but is not a substitute for in-person doctor visits, your doctor or your doctor’s independent judgment about any symptom, condition, or the appropriateness or risks of a procedure or treatment for a given person.

No. oDoc is designed to handle non-emergency medical conditions. You should NOT use oDoc if you are experiencing a medical emergency.

At oDoc, the security of your data is our highest priority. We treat personal information of individuals with the utmost care and maintain the highest standards of privacy and security. Your interactions with doctors on oDoc are safe, private, and secure. oDoc does not share or sell your personally identifiable information with third parties. oDoc is designed with multiple layers of bank level protection, including secure data transfer, encryption, network configuration & application and user-level controls that are distributed across a secure infrastructure. Data is stored on HIPPA compliant servers (which is the stringent standard for storage of personal health information in the US)

Yes. All your medical history and information will be accessible by you at any time through the app. You can also delete any of your records if required.

Yes. Press the button on the top right of the home screen to activate anonymous mode. On anonymous mode, your identity will be hidden from the doctor. Your doctor will not be shown any of your personal details such as name, age etc. When the consultation starts, you will have the option of turning on your video feed. Details of this consultation will be saved only for you to see and will not appear as part of your medical history seen by doctors during future consultations. You can even delete the details of this appointment from your personal view by swiping left on the consultation you would like to delete in your “Visits” tab. Please note that prescriptions are not possible on anonymous mode and you will only receive general advice and not medical advice..

No. A doctor will only see your medical history if and when you select to consult with him/her. This too will be time bound access around your consultation time. Any records that you delete will not appear as part of your medical history. If you select the anonymous consultation mode, the details of that consultation will be saved only for you to see and would not appear as part of your medical history seen by doctors during future consultations. You could even delete the details of this consultation from your personal view by swiping left on the consultation you would like to delete in your “Visits” tab.

Yes. You can add up to 3 family members by either tapping on your name on the home screen and then tapping “Add Family Members” or by going to the “Settings” menu, tapping on “Accounts” and then tapping “Add Family Members”. Family members will be added to your profile and will share your default payment option. You can initiate a consultation for a family member by switching to your family member’s profile from the home screen, prior to booking a consultation.

oDoc provides you with an e-receipt which is printable and accepted by most large insurance companies. Please check with your relevant insurance provider.

This at the sole discretion of the doctor and based on your condition. oDoc will provide you with an e-certificate which is digitally signed and stamped by your doctor. Medical Leave Certificates are not guaranteed.

You can cancel an appointment through the app any time before the consultation starts. You may be charged a cancellation fee.

oDoc will offer you an appointment with the next available doctor (if one is available) or a full refund according to your preference. Please email us at refunds@oDoc.life within 24 hours of the incomplete consultation quoting your oDoc ID number and reason for the refund request.

The doctor will try to reconnect and call you back. If the doctor is unable to do so we will offer you an appointment with the next available doctor (if one is available) or a full refund according to your preference. In this rare occasion, you may need to explain your case history again with the new doctor. Please email us at refunds@oDoc.life within 24 hours of the incomplete consultation quoting your oDoc ID number and reason for refund request.

The doctor will wait 2 minutes for you to reconnect and will try and call you back. If you are unable to reconnect and not reachable, the consultation will end.

If you are not satisfied with our service for any reason, email us at refunds@oDoc.life (quoting your oDoc ID number and reason for the refund request) within 24 hours and we will be happy to arrange a refund.

The platform does not have a feature for the video or audio of a consultation to be recorded by either the patient or the doctor. The recording of the audio or video of a consultation is a violation of the oDoc Terms of Use.
