All prescriptions issued on oDoc are issued by SLMC registered doctors. These are issued through a secure password protected account unique to each doctor. Each prescription clearly identifies the doctor issuing the prescription and carries the name, SLMC registration number, seal and signature of that doctor. The name of the patient is clearly identified and the specific medicines prescribed to the patient is in an easy to read type-written form. Further, the doctor explicitly states that by this prescription issued in writing, that the doctor intends and authorises for the medicines listed in the document to be dispensed for use by the named patient.
