We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to oDoc’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

What you'll do

  • Work on core iOS mobile app development following UI/UX Standards.
  • Work on web development including mobile web app development.
  • Analyze the system and technical requirement specifications.
  • Writing code that follows SOLID principles, platform-specific conventions and common design patterns.

What we're looking for

The minimum qualifications for an oDoc software engineer include:
  • Possess a degree in Information Technology or similar qualification.
  • Experience with iOS development. Experience with Android will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with swift and Reactive development.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, web technologies and UI/UX standards.
  • Proficiency with git and Apple's app submission process (including certificate provisioning).
  • Solid technical skills in web programming such as TypeScript, Node.js, AJAX, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, HTML5, etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Prior exposure to Test Automation using Selenium/Web driver, Appium or similar will be an added advantage.

Examples of specialist domains: UI development with React Native and similar technologies, security, embedded systems and mobile apps (Android and iOS).
