Job description

We are looking for web developers responsible for the client side of our service. Your primary focus will be to implement a complete user interface in the form of a mobile and desktop web app, with a focus on performance. The artistic design will be delivered to you (primarily using Sketch files) and your main duties will include creating modules and components and coupling them together into a functional app. You will work in a team with the backend developers, and communicate with internal and external APIs using standard methods. Therefore a thorough understanding of our platform and infrastructure is required.

Your responsibilities

  • Delivering a complete frontend web application
  • Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop
  • Writing tested and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Coordinating workflows between designers, other developers and yourself
  • Coordinating with the backend developer in the process of consuming RESTful APIs
  • Communicating with external web services

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for an oDoc Web Developer include:
  • 1+ years experience in Javascript development
  • Experience with some modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Angular, AngularJS, etc)
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5
 The desired qualifications for an oDoc Web Developer include:
  • 3+ years experience in Javascript development
  • Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as ECMAScript 2015/2016 (ES6/7), CSS pre-processors (SASS, Less, Stylus), JavaScript transpilers (Babel, TypeScript), and JavaScript build tools (WebPack, Browserify, Grunt, Gulp)

Examples of specialist domains: UI development with React Native and similar technologies, security, embedded systems and mobile apps (Android and iOS).
