Job description

We are looking for Node.js developers, responsible for managing the interchange of data between our servers and users. Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. You will also be responsible for integrating the frontend elements (for example: payment processing, account administration and management) built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of frontend technologies will be advantageous as well.

Your responsibilities

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by frontend developers with server side logic
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability and performant applications
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Integration of data storage solutions using MongoDB


The minimum qualifications for an oDoc Node.js developer include:
  • You have 1+ years experience in Javascript development
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
  • Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
 The desired qualifications for an oDoc Node.js developer include:
  • You have 3+ years experience in Javascript development
  • Familiarity with TypeScript
  • Experience with Node.js and the NPM package ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in production systems
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)

Examples of specialist domains: UI development with React Native and similar technologies, security, embedded systems and mobile apps (Android and iOS).
