User Interface Designer

oDoc is on a mission to democratise healthcare. To make high quality primary healthcare universally affordable, accessible and personal. We connect patients with doctors for video consultation, audio, and physical consultations. We have received Sri Lanka’s largest seed-round of investment (USD 1Mn) and won the Commonwealth Digital Health Award.
 
We are looking for an experienced and talented UI designer to design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams with engineers, UX designers and product management. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.

What you'll do

General responsibilities include:
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Be a great team player, experienced in working with quick paced, iterative teams. This includes Collaborating with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Provide resources, guidelines and templates that empower colleagues, inspire and elevate their work.
  • Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable UI skills, with a strong portfolio
  • Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes
  • Experience using tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Excellent visual design skills
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies

Good to haves

  • Understanding of basic front end languages: HTML5, CSS, Javascript
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Degree in a complementary field.
